Farm Manager
Location:
Kubwa, Abuja
Duties
An experienced farm manager is needed to manage a crop and livestock farm in Kubwa, Abuja. The main duties include but are not limited to:
Technical:
- Maintain and monitor the quality of yield
- Monitor animal health and welfare, including liaising with vets
- Maintain knowledge of pests and diseases and an understanding of how they spread and how to treat them
- Apply health and safety standards across the farm
- Arrange the maintenance and repair of farm buildings, machinery and equipment
- Handle the marketing and sale of farm produce
- Regularly inspect crops, livestock, and also perform tests on soil and water.
Management:
- Ensure all staff adhere to health and safety regulations.
- Assist with the recruitment and training of new staff members.
- Plan finances and production to maintain farm progress against budget parameters
- Keep records of livestock and crops and financial records
- Analyse existing operations, crops and livestock and recommending improvements
Remuneration
- Accommodation will be provided on the farm
Salary:
- N80,000 - N120,000 monthly
